The British Mountaineering Council recognises that climbing and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement.
1. CANCELLATION BY YOU
1.1 If you would like to cancel a booking please contact us by email (enquiries@mileendwall.org.uk) no later than 72 hours before your course date. We will either transfer your booking to another date or issue a refund.
1.2 Cancellation within 72 hours of your course start date will result in the forfeit of all fees.
1.3 If you would like to transfer to another course date, please contact us by email (enquiries@mileendwall.org.uk) no later than 3 days before the start date of your course. Please note we will only transfer your booking once & no transfers can be made once the course has started.
1.4 It is possible to transfer your course to another person at any time before the start date providing the person meets any course entry requirements.
2. CANCELLATION BY US
2.1 Whilst every attempt is made to ensure that courses run on the advertised dates, Mile End Climbing Wall reserves the right to cancel at any time where numbers fail to reach a workable minimum.
2.2 In this event as much notice as possible will be given and clients will be offered the following options: Either, a full refund of fees or the same course on different dates.
3. ATTENDANCE
3.1 Course participants are expected to attend 100% of course dates. If you are unable to attend the first or subsequent sessions we can arrange catch up sessions at a charge of £30/hour per person. If you have not attended your course dates or arranged a catch up you will forfeit you place on the course without refund or transfer.
4. UNDER 18s
4.1 Most courses are open to young people aged 14 years and upwards. It is the responsibility of the parent to check the entry requirements for a course and to complete any paperwork required. Any person under 18 arriving for a course without the necessary consent will not be allowed to take part. No refunds or transfers will be given or offered in these situations.
5. REMOVAL FROM COURSE
5.1 We reserve the right to remove any customer from any course or booking where their behaviour is deemed to be unsafe, dangerous or detrimental to others in the group or centre. This could include but is not limited to intoxication, abusive behaviour or refusal to follow safety procedures. No refunds or transfers will be offered in these situations.
6. FEES
6.1 All course fees are fully inclusive of instruction, equipment hire registration and entrance fees.
6.2 Course fees do not include food, travel or accommodation unless stated.
7. WEATHER
7.1 In extreme cases it may be necessary to hold outdoor courses at alternative venues (indoor or out), for operational reasons.
8. INSURANCE
8.1 All course participants are covered under our Public Liability Insurance policy, which has a maximum limit of £5,000,000.
8.2 This does not include Personal Accident Insurance. You are strongly advised to take out adequate insurance cover.
9. LIABILITIES
9.1 Mile End Climbing Wall (Development through Challenge) assumes no liability for damage, injury, death, cancellation, delay or inconvenience incurred by course participants and in respect of loss or damage to personal property however caused. This does not affect your statutory rights.
10. COMPLAINTS
10.1 Any complaints should be put in writing and emailed (enquiries@mileendwall.org.uk), addressed to the Assistant Manager.
11. PRIVACY
11.1 We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties.
